Canadian Satellite Livestock Auction

View sale online at www.agrimart.ca.

Canadian Satellite Livestock Auction started operation in October 1993. It is owned by Vold Jones & Vold Auction Co. Ltd and The Auction Company Ltd.

Canadian Satellite Livestock Auction (CSLA) offers livestock producers the advantage of North American buyer access combined with the local participating market.

Cattle producers can continue dealing with their local market who will list, video and handle the weighing and financial transactions between the buyer and seller. The individual producer's videos will be collected by the Red Blair & BrantDeer office and forwarded to CH Red Deer who will be handling the production and uplink to the satellite during the auction sale.

Satellite viewing is being done at many participating markets where buyers assemble and bid to ringmen who have a telephone hookup to sales headquarters. In addition buyers are also able to pick up the sale on their own dishes. The buyer's name or number is announced when the cattle are sold.

The advantage for selling cattle over the CSLA is a broadened base of buyers and the security of dealing with your local market.

The advantage for buyers is an increased volume of cattle to bid on in areas that they might not normally have access to.

Feed grains are being offered for sale by Canadian Satellite Livestock Auction. Grain is being sold in lots with minimum size being 6000 bushels. The grain is sold right after the livestock.
